Choose a Flat Rate on selected ADSL plans and you’ll pay a fixed monthly fee for your broadband package – no nasty surprises! Once you reach your monthly quota, your speed will be shaped to 64/64kbps until the next billing cycle, but you won’t incur excess usage fees.

If a Flat Rate is not selected, your speed will not be shaped once you reach your monthly data quota and excess usage fees of 15c per MB will apply.

Terms and Conditions
Standard Form of Agreement and 12-month minimum contract apply. Early termination fees apply. A connection fee of $99 applies to a standard installation. All customers must pay by direct debit or credit card. All prices are GST inclusive. Plan downgrades are not permitted during the contract period. A plan change fee of $20 applies to all plan changes except upgrades. Neighbourhood Cable's ADSL Broadband service may not be available in all areas or to all telephone lines. If your application is accepted, we will endeavour to provide the ADSL Broadband service as soon as possible however no guarantee of availability or a date of commencement can be given. The plan period and monthly charges will commence within two (2) days after you receive the modem or on such other date as Neighbourhood Cable reasonably designates. A fixed-line phone service is required to access ADSL broadband services. If the phone service is disconnected or transferred to another name, you will lose your ADSL broadband connection and may incur a reconnection fee. If you move, Neighbourhood Cable will endeavour to relocate the ADSL Broadband service (subject to availability in your new area). A relocation fee of $99 will apply in addition to a charge for any necessary additional equipment. Acceptable usage policy applies on upload traffic. Unused monthly download allowance expires at the end of the month. A maximum file attachment size of 2MB applies. *Customers must opt-in to receive a Flat Rate. Under the Flat Rate, once the monthly download allowance is reached, connection speed will be limited to 64/64 Kbps until the first day of the next billing month, unless the broadband plan is upgraded or a Data Block is purchased. If a Flat Rate is not selected, download speed will not be slowed, however excess usage fees will be charged for downloads in excess of the monthly allowance. Customers may opt-in to receive the Flat Rate feature at any time, however this will incur a $20 plan change fee. Customers will not pay for excess usage under a Flat Rate plan unless an optional Data Block is purchased. †Data Blocks are only available on Premium+, Cable and ADSL broadband plans. Any unused data is forfeited at the end of the billing cycle and cannot be rolled into the following month. Once the Data Block download allowance is reached, connection speed will be limited to 64/64 kbps or for unshaped plans excess usage fees will apply for any additional usage until the first day of the next billing cycle, unless additional data is purchased or the broadband plan is upgraded. Any excess data used prior to the purchase of a Data Block will be deducted from the total Data Block allowance. An on-peak Data Block can only be used between 7am and 1am and an off-peak Data Block can only be used between 1am and 7am. If a customer’s standard broadband plan does not have a Peak/Off-Peak period then a Data Block can be used during all time periods until the end of the billing cycle.
